Thyme Restaurant’s Fall Harvest Dinner, in collaboration with Twelve Eleven Wine Bar, delighted guests with a five-course meal celebrating Door County’s seasonal bounty. Set in a candlelit hoop house adorned with vibrant florals, the evening showcased local flavors and artisan wines for an unforgettable culinary experience.
For one unforgettable evening, Thyme Restaurant welcomed guests to a thoughtfully curated Fall Harvest Dinner in mid-September at their hoop house event space. The evening was hosted in collaboration with Twelve Eleven Wine Bar who provided the wine pairings for each course. The five-course menu, designed to reflect the rich flavors and heritage of Door County, highlighted local ingredients and fine wine pairings from Sonoma and Mendocino. This event combined the artistry of a seasonal menu with Thyme’s commitment to culinary excellence, creating an experience that celebrated the bounty of the harvest season.
Setting the mood was the light guitar of David Cavanaugh who began playing before everyone sat down. Guests waited outside in the sun at Twelve Eleven’s outdoor seating and fires.
The evening’s culinary journey began with a delicate amuse-bouche: herb cream cheese and honey crisp apple phyllo cups topped with walnuts, crumbled reve cheese, and honey—a taste of Wisconsin’s produce at its peak. Each subsequent plate showcased a unique pairing with wines selected by Twelve Eleven Wine Bar, known for their handcrafted wines from low-yield, family-run vineyards.² The pairings were as thoughtfully crafted as the dishes, bringing out the depth and character of each course.
Taking Thyme to Set the Table
The tablescape for the event was set within Thyme’s cozy hoop house, transformed into an intimate dining space with a single, beautifully adorned long table. The table was topped with elegant candles, seasonal flowers bursting with color, and every detail needed for a lush, unforgettable dining experience. As the evening progressed the mood changed as the sunlight diminished and candles began to light the tablescape. The soft candlelight and vibrant blooms created a warm, inviting ambiance that mirrored the thoughtful craftsmanship of the meal itself, giving guests a space to enjoy food, wine, and company in style.
